This months speaker will be Jim Tuggle, who has many a tale after spending a career with the DFW as a Fish and Game agent. 15 - 7:30 p.m. Board Meeting. Board Meetings are open to all members (American Legion Hall in Bothell.) February:5 - 7:30 p.m. General Meeting at the American Legion Hall in Bothell. The meeting features guest speaker Dr. Nate Mantua, Assistant Professor of Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Washington. He will discuss impacts of the water cycle, salmon and marine ecosystems in the Northwest, including how climate information is or isn't being used in fisheries management decisions. 8-10 Club outing to the Sol Duc River. March:5 - 7:30 p.m. General Meeting at the American Legion Hall in Bothell. This month features saltwater guide Gary Krein of All Star Fishing Charters, who will talk about salmon fishing in our own backyard - Puget Sound. 9 - 9:00 a.m. Work party and Picnic at Barr Creek to prepare for Steelhead arrival. We have ordered 200 trees to plant on Barr Creek to improve habitat and are planning a major rehabilitation of the imprint pond as well. Please bring shovels, work gloves, gas powered weed eaters/brushers etc. to assist! June:? - Barr Creek Work Party. We need to remove the docks and feeders from the Barr Creek imprint pond. Potluck picnic to follow! All members are encouraged to show up and learn what they can do to help this years conservation banquet. Bring out the Kid's and we will provide fishing equipment, fish, food, and more! In addition we always need more people to help the kid catch fish, so come on out and lend a hand! ?? - 7:30 p.m. Board Meeting. This is the Chapters other Kids-fish-in and is held at a pond at Biringer Farms. For this outing Northshore will provide equipment and fish. Again, bring out the Kids and yourselves as these fish-ins are a lot of fun for the kids and the helpers! Please contact Steve Winder for more information on volunteering.
